Grandparent breakfast is tomorrow morning! Doors open at 8:00 am. Serving until 8:50 or while supplies last. Grandparents are also welcome to visit the Book Fair. Visit before you eat to avoid the crowds at the fair.

SEP Week is next week February 3-7th. Monday through Thursday early out at 2:30. Friday early out at 1:30 regular time. We are looking for people to fill 2 PTA board positions for next year (2025-2026 school year): TREASURER: Duties would include: -going into the school for about 1 hour each week to write reimbursement checks, fill out forms, and input data into quickbooks. -attend PTA meetings & present the monthly financial report -count and take $ to the bank after events -in charge of Penny Wars event SECRETARY: -Taking notes at PTA meetings/reading back the previous meetings notes at the beginning of each meeting -sending out relevant information to parents If you’re interested in either of these positions, please email the Nominating Committee at northelementarypta@gmail.com.

Fliers about Kite Flight are coming home. Each year the Cedar City community comes together to promote childhood reading. Read every day and mark the minutes on the chart. Come to the fair on April 26th. Turn in your completed reading chart(s) for prizes and money for our school.

Book Fair is the week of parent teacher conferences. There are morning slots that need filled on Thursday for the time grandparents come for the Grandparent breakfast.

The Science Fair is tomorrow the 22nd! Set up is between 8:30-8:55. Please make sure to be prompt and on time. Any items brought in, need to fit in front of their board. Parents are NOT allowed to participate in the fair. Doors close at 9:00 for students and SUU judges only. Parents are more than welcome and invited to see their projects displayed at the SUU STEM Night at North Elementary on January 23rd from 6:00-8:00 pm. They will be displayed upstairs. Thank you so much for supporting them and we look forward to seeing you at STEM Night.

Families with students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade, We are excited to bring back the science fair this school year. It does come with a learning curve and we would like to clarify a few items. Students can work individually or in a group. The page that is due is the one below. Please send it to your child's teacher. 5th graders have the opportunity to be judged and move on to advanced competition. If your child needs a poster board and cannot afford one or it is more convenient for you there are more in the office. If your child does not participate there is an alternate task during the presentations, but as a STEM school we hope you can support us. The project is due to their teacher by Jan 21st, as our Science fair is on the 22nd.
