Students in a row at an assembly

The Hope Assembly was on February 16th and was based on being an upstander and not a bully. The assembly finished our Hope week which had a theme for each day. Jasmine, from Hope Squad said, “Hope week is about lifting others and not bringing them down. Helping people feel part of a group and included”. The Hope Squad had fun activities such as an anti-bullying video and an obstacle course. The Hope Squad had some of the 6th ,7th and 8th grade teachers go through the obstacle course along with a few students. It showed the students how we could support each other when things get difficult. The obstacle course involved spinning 3 times around an umbrella, grabbing an item, running with the item going over some chairs and under a table, grab a ball with your legs and put the item and ball into a bucket and do it again with a different item. Thanks to our Hope Squad who look out for others and remind us that kindness counts.
