On April 18th, our Symphonic and Concert Bands had the opportunity to go to a Band Festival at Snow College in Ephraim UT. This is the first time that the Cedar Middle School band has been able to travel and attend this festival. At this festival the bands could play their three prepared songs to a small audience with three judges. Then have a judge give them a clinic ( a review with suggestions). The festival was a great learning opportunity for our band students, as they could watch other bands perform including the Snow College Woodwind Symphony. The trip started at 7:30 am when the bands left Cedar and drove for hours stopping to and from the destination for a break. The band students had fun traveling and playing their music. Thanks to our band teachers and chaperones for arranging this field trip.
