The media and yearbook team is a class of 7th and 8th graders that design the yearbook, write feature stories and record/edit the announcements. We go around taking pictures of students and activities for the yearbook pages. We learn how to use a yearbook editing website to make page layouts with pictures and text for the yearbook.
We also record student council students for the morning announcements. Each week two student council students will read the weekly announcements and the media students record them. Then we use a video editing website to edit the videos by adding text, audio, background to the green screen videos and images.
Another responsibility for media students is writing feature stories of events and activities that students are doing at CMS to add to our website. There is a lot to do to keep our students, faculty and family aware and involved with what we do at CMS.
