Iron County School District is building a website filled with stories that inspire. Iron Stories seeks to build stronger communities through shared narratives.
To kick off the collection, the district is sponsoring a contest for all ICSD secondary students. Students are invited to write up a story from their own lives, retell a story from the life of an ancestor or even submit a piece of creative fiction. The story should inspire and can cover a range of subjects including integrity, honesty, hard work and more. A winner from each category — 6th-7th; 8th-9th; and 10th-12th — will be awarded an electric scooter. ICSD students must submit a story by Feb. 29 to be considered for the contest.
