Teachers give out many awards to students throughout the year in little ways, like a verbal "well done", or a sticker and in big ways, like a certificate, prizes or class party. At the end of the year it's tradition to have award assemblies for the 7th and 8th graders to recognize student's academics and other specific subject awards. A memory slideshow is shown and it's a great time to reflect on the past school year.
