On Nov 11, 2025 the students of Cedar Middle School had a Veterans assembly to honor and commemorate our local school veterans and their families along with all soldiers fighting for our country.
Some of the teachers and staff that have served or are currently serving are Mr. Brian Smith, Mr. Keith Robinson, Mr. Stan Smith, Mr. William Bagnall, Mrs. Katie Yates, and Mr. Jeff Quarnberg. Officer Heaps and Officer McCoy used to be resource officers at Cedar Middle School in the past. Heaps and McCoy were invited to share with the students what it means to them to serve their country. They have both served in a branch of military for over 19 years. We thank all the Veterans for their service towards our country.
The Symphonic band played a couple of patriotic pieces including the Armed Forces Salute medley. Our student council led out with presenting the colors of the United States and followed with flags for each military service group. Mr. Dee Smith led the students with the flags. It was a enjoyable, reflective and patriotic assembly.
