artist helping art student

Several art students from local schools were invited to go up on the mountain to the SUU cabin for an art day.  Professional artists  worked with these students to improve their artwork. There were three categories students could choose from for the contest: figure drawing, landscape and sculpture. If you picked sculpture, they gave the students clay to create anything from our imagination.

When we got to the mountain they let us spread out and work until 1:00 p.m. to make our creations. Then we had lunch while the professional artists judged our art for the contest. Art Day on Cedar Mountain was so fun and there were so many beautiful sites to see. It was very calm and relaxing and it’s definitely something I would love to do again.
