Red Ribbon Week was Oct. 24-Oct. 31. Students could pledge not to do drugs and dress up according to the theme of the day. For example, on Thursday, students were allowed to wear a costume of their favorite character in a show or movie. On Friday, 28th, the theme was “we’re too fancy for drugs”  students were supposed to wear fancy clothes.  On Monday, 31st, "scare drugs away" students were allowed to dress up in their Halloween costume. This week was a lot of fun and all the students had so much fun dressing up and we can’t wait to do this next year as well.

On Friday, October 28th, the students and families of Cedar Middle School were invited to participate in a Halloween Fun Run. For the run, you would go from the school to the lake. You would then run around the lake and exit the lake on Royal Hunte Dr. then run one lap around the school track. Along the way, there were eleven trick-or-treat stations where they would give you candy. You could run or walk up to three laps. Following the run, there was a costume contest for each grade. It was an overall fun experience for everyone. The Fun Run went along with our PTA fund raiser. Students and their families raised over $15,000 for our school. Thanks to everyone who participated!
