On November 10, the entire school went to the Veteran's day assembly. The choir, band and orchestra were also preforming at the concert. At the assembly the students honored the veterans of America. I asked 7th grader Spencer Price what he thought of the assembly. He said "I feel like it was really interactive and the music was awesome."
At the start of the assembly, the CMS student council brought out the flags and posted the colors. After that the choir, band and orchestra played songs to honor the Veterans. Near the end of the assembly when the band played the military medley the students stood up to honor the deceased and living veterans. Student artwork was also displayed in a slideshow. Mr. Johnson from the School board was a guest speaker and talked about his experience in the military. The Veteran's that work at our school were acknowledged too.
