Man talking to students

7th graders went to an advisory enrichment to talk to Mayor Green. They were asked to fill out a paper on they’re favorite questions that he was asked and how he responded to them. Mayor Green was asked questions like “What did you do before you were Mayor?” His answer was that he used to work at a college and then he traveled around the world. Another question he was asked was, “How does your family feel about it?” He answered that his family is very happy that he got the opportunity to be in this job as mayor.

7th Graders also visited the City Court Rooms. On our way in we had to go through the metal detector. We were allowed to ask questions that we were given by our teachers.  We learned that there are multiple different courts and that our city is actually one of the biggest ones in our state. At the end of the meeting with the judge we were guided into the back rooms. We got to see the holding stalls where inmates are held until they meet with the judge.
