Last week, Mrs. Spencer and her 7th and 8th grade theater classes, performed the play, “Mystery at Shady Acres”, which is the name of the hotel. Shady Acres, is a mystery about a million-dollar necklace that gets stolen at the hotel when a rich couple comes to stay for a few nights. It includes many suspects, mysteries, and even dilemmas between investigators. Mrs. Spencer, and her class also found ways to be interactive with their audience.
Even with their challenges throughout, they were still supportive, and helpful to each other, as well as some other students pitching in to help backstage to make sure the play was on track, and ready to go. Including some of the actors/actresses filling in for others and making the play just as spectacular event. The play was performed four times and were very funny, and well directed. Thank you to Cedar Middle School’s amazing theater program for putting on a wonderful show, and to all the people who helped along the way.
