3 people in a gym

On Wednesday, January 11th, Justin from Southwest Tech came to Cedar Middle School to
teach the students about career awareness. He told the students about many different careers they could do. He also gave the students five pieces of advice. The first one was to ask good questions. If you ask questions, you’ll know what to do and won’t be confused. He also said to make friends because you’ll need them your entire life. Simplify. Don’t make everything more complicated and then do it. Finally, he said to feed the fish, which means to do something nobody’s done before. Be original. After the students were educated on careers and advice, Justin invited two students (Rachel and Jack) to compete against each other in a game of corn hole. He then divided the audience into two sides. Team “This Side” rooted for Rachel and team “That Side" was hoping that Jack would win. The winner got a grand prize: a packet of instant oatmeal! Team “That Side” was pumped! Huge thanks to Southwest Tech for educating the students of CMS!
